We are thrilled to share that Gretchen Michaelson, founder and medical director of the Headache Care Center, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Headache Foundation (NHF). Announced today, Gretchen joins other distinguished leaders in headache medicine on the board, reflecting NHF’s commitment to bringing together clinical expertise, research, and advocacy to improve the lives of people living with headache disorders.
Gretchen has focused her career on neurological conditions since 2000, with more than a decade dedicated specifically to headache medicine, including years spent at the Hartford Headache Center before founding the Headache Care Center in 2018. She holds the Added Qualification in Headache Medicine (AQH) certification from NHF itself, and has long been a lecturer and educator in the field. This new role is a natural extension of the leadership and expertise she brings to our patients every day, and we couldn’t be prouder to see her recognized on a national stage. Congratulations, Gretchen!
